How I learned these lessons!

Dear readers,
This is your editor-in-chief. The face behind this article.
During University, I didn't realize that most of time I was under continual stress. I was burnout but thought it was just laziness.
There was only one solution I could come up with- working harder and longer.
To be honest, every time I reflect on my years of university I couldn't deny that I had more than abundant time for my study, even though I was in a very prestigous program. However, I didn't understand why the materials I tried to absorb just won't sink in. I wasn't dumb!
If only I had followed the principles I listed in my article, I would have had a more balance and much easier life.
After school, I'd come to realize that academic knowledge wasn't practical enough to be useful in real life. So I started to read business books and guru books.
During that period, two man had influenced me in terms of time and learning mangement- Josh Waitzkin and Timothy Ferriss.
Josh is a learning expert. If you want to excel in learning anything, pick up his book, "The Art Of Learning". Also, visit his website for a youtube video that record his teaching for google staff.
And Timothy, his "The 4-Hour Workweek" just blow my mind in terms of his creative application of the Pareto rule (or 80/20). Amazing.
From there, I started to understand the "tao" of turning stress into something useful and time management skills.
Many techniques in my article were built on the tip-offs from Tim and Josh. I further personalized and developed their "food for thoughts" according to my own experience and reflection. I was thankful for their inspiration.
